One of the important operational perks in effective genocide is acquired first by making the target population too slow witted to apprehend the effect of light on their metabolism, right after you’ve poisoned the food supply beyond any reasonable limit of calling it “nutrition.”
They eat un-food and bathe in un-light and by the time it starts to work it’s magic on them, they have already lost the acuity required to understand the damage it is doing to any of them.
Like the frog in water slowly brought to a boil, by the time it starts to bubble it is too late for it to react by jumping out. It has all started to seem “natural” no matter how unearthly and demonic it really is.
In a world of blue light, eventually not even a blade of grass will grow.
Mayhaps hell is not so dark after all … it’s illuminated by a sickly blue flickering faery light that never goes out that eventually extinguishes anything that God has made.
