It's hard to believe Sapiens could miss these conclusions but luckily I have managed to deduce a couple of things on my own.
Cognitive function and nearsightedness have a direct relationship established by peer-reviewed research that is no longer questioned by most academics. It could be construed speculative when I pointed it out twenty years ago. Two decades later it is backed by very widespread testing and collation across multiple cultures.
Myopia and higher IQ are one and the same thing.
The debate ended many decades ago on this subject.
