The Shrink Who Tried To Erase Me From Time
... and other helpful government funded super-friends with benign intentions
The really hilarious thing about this post is that I was going to document some of the attempts to wipe me out of the record system altogether when I was 17 years old.
I discovered that some of the links I was going to use to the Congressional Record where my name was mentioned have already been wiped out. Some of them I checked on as recently as 2017 so somebody has been busy finding and erasing my name from government public domain records. That was kind of the point I was going to try to make here amongst other topics I would touch on.
I managed to find this one. You may want to save it before it gets erased. Barbara Boxer has frequently used my name in her discussions of programs for gifted children with both Henry Taylor and other academic professors on Capitol Hill. It’s pretty funny that none of these people have ever met me except Henry Taylor (when I was in the 4th grade in 1972) and he tossed my name around without my permission into Congressional Hearings whenever he needed more grant money. I give this guy one free poem, he turns it into a meal ticket for the next 50 years.
(ADDENDUM : The correlation between high native intelligence and animal mimicry and anthropomorphism (throwing your voice into animals, speaking for inanimate objects, attributing consciousness to all sorts of external forces) has been consistently observed over the past 500 years. It’s in literature in the Middle Ages. If you didn’t know better you might think all bright people have a common ancestor who was a very good solitary hunter and superb at imagining himself inside the animal to predict its behaviors. By becoming the animal, they know where to find it, where it will hide, how it will attempt to flee, etc. in addition to being able to mimic its calls and speak its language. Homo Sapiens just charges at them in a big mob screaming and hurling their spears and is able to kill game through sheer volume but with very little finesse or efficiency. That might be because their ancestors primarily ate other people, not animals.)
