This book was written by the great Arthur Robinson and the whacky now deceased Gary North, both of them active in civil defense for many years when it was a forbidden subject to raise.
It’s hardcore vision of the action needed in America and it was embraced by millions who read it. The book was turned into a massive overrun printing and ended up in a lot of conservative households all through the 80’s during the Reagan Renaissance when it was commonly distributed for free at rallies.
"Fighting Chance: Ten Feet to Survival" is a book focused on civil defense strategies, particularly in the context of a potential nuclear attack. It advocates for a low-tech, decentralized approach to preparedness, emphasizing practical solutions for individuals and local communities. The book highlights the effectiveness of simple, readily available methods for survival, rather than relying solely on high-tech solutions. The book suggests that a strong civil defense system could reduce the effectiveness of nuclear blackmail and enhance national security.

No download? It gets problematic reviews on Amazon with one suggesting "This book was really not what I expected. If you are looking for reference material on preparedness in the event of a nuclear attack of any kind, don't spend the money on this book. Instead, buy the book Nuclear Survival Skills by Kearny. This might make a decent backup to that book, but only to reassure you of what you have already read from Nuclear Survival Skills."
Amazon wants $21 for Fighting Chance and $9.89 for Kearny's. I don't disagree, since I haven't read either. Kearny's book, which was initially published in 1979, was updated by Kearny himself in 1987 and again in 2001. You may find it. Just a suggestion. God bless.
