I don’t have a tight grasp on what you have written about, despite reading every word, but it sounds beautifully interesting! πŸ˜ƒ Onwards and upwards Tex!πŸ‘

I generally dislike coding, but I'd be interested in configuring this for micro-hydro power generation control software. The main problem is I don't have a clue what I'm doing and I don't have any money, so it's sort of a pie in the sky at the moment.

I think that would be a very easy application to run through Vault-Sys using the existing Modbus module when it is ready.

You'd have a power meter (cheap modbus sensor) and water temperature sensor (cheap) and maybe an RPM (test flow) and you could archive the data and plot power output over time just like any battery charger. This sort of thing is what I have in mind for Modbus process and if everything was working correctly the user just configures it. (List properties, property types, ranges, Modbus numbers, alerts/alarms/notifications and commit changes, boom you run it and it sends it to register and the server tells you that you are ready to go. Then you might go to server and pick some dashboard controls ... chart, power meter, etc.)

Your story reminds me of the time I spent at a Class 5 data center writing a Run Book. Wild places those big data centers.
