I don't know if you have read Stan Gooch or not. His books are so brilliant you have to know in advance some of the background before you even open them - and it sounds like you do. The man had incredible insight. Way ahead of his time. Even when he speculates he turned out to be more accurate than modern people with all their hardware. Stan Gooch would agree 100% with everything you wrote and so do I. We may never know the exact truth when we are in this plane of existence. We see through a glass darkly. It is obvious Neanderthals are the Adamic original. Adam had no need to be able to throw a spear the length of a football field and hit a dime on the other side. Yet Homo Sapiens is every single good thing removed from a Neanderthal and then given an amazing throwing ability. That's why psychologists say again and again in a fit of honesty, "Aspergers Syndrome ... the real kind ... is basically what ordinary people pretend to be but they really aren't." At Deutsch Specialisterne, they remark on how good these people are at working together with no hidden agenda. It's Adamic people as designed by God. Farnham's Freehold is an awesome book but I don't think it was the essay I remember. I think it was "There is no such thing as a Free Lunch." Got a million books in storage and I'd need to have a look to find it. Freehold is the weirdest and coolest book Heinlein wrote with survivalists.
The guy in it who voluntarily got castrated for an easy life, along with his approving mother, is something I think about a lot these days when I look out at the world.
